Trouble logging in?
Some individuals may experience difficulty when trying to login. Following are steps to help you through the most common challenges you may encounter. If after reviewing these recommendations you are still experiencing login difficulties, please speak with your Advisor.
Browser trouble
Some individuals may be getting a double login request. Solution: You can remove the double login by updating your browser, or changing your internet options.
- Updating your browser
For enhanced security reasons, your personal financial website works best with Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) or Firefox 2. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer or Firefox, you may wish to upgrade. Internet Explorer 7 is a free application that can be downloaded at www.microsoft.com/downloads. - Changing your internet options
To remove the double login you may need to change both your privacy settings and your pop-up settings. To change your Privacy settings, select the Tools menu, then choose Internet Options. Select the Privacy tab. Next, click the Sites button and add *.ipcc.org and your advisor’s website to the website list. Click Allow, then click Okay.
To change your pop-up settings, select Tools from the top menu bar, then Pop-up Blocker. Select Pop-up Blocker Settings. Add *.ipcc.org and your advisor’s website address to the website list. Click Add, then Close.
It’s blocked by your pop-up blocker
To solve this issue, go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/843016 and follow the “Allow Web sites list” instructions. Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, and some virus scanners also provide pop-up blockers as well. Pop-up blockers can be temporarily disabled by pressing and holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard prior to clicking the “Login here” button.
Password trouble
Many individuals are using their former user ID and passwords. Please remember to use the new login information provided to you. As the fields are case sensitive, please type your password in carefully. If the user ID and password are cut and pasted from an email, ensure that a blank space before/after the login information is not accidentally copied over as well.
Text formatting issues
Internet Explorer has a feature that allows you to modify the size of text displayed in your browser. If your text is too large, it may cause formatting issues with the page display. Solution: If you experience text formatting issues, select the View menu, then Text Size. Finally, select the text size of Medium.
